Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Ltd (DPE) and Uber’s regional partnership set to deliver more choice for pizza lovers across Australia and New Zealand

Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Ltd. (DPE) and Uber are forging a deeper partnership designed to drive incremental growth for Domino’s franchise partners and deliver more flexibility for hungry customers at more times throughout the day.

While Domino’s customers can already order their favourite pizza on Uber Eats to be delivered by Domino’s delivery fleet, the new partnership with Uber Direct will enable Domino’s stores in Australia and New Zealand to offer extended trading hours by tapping into Uber’s delivery network. Unlocking more convenience for customers when it comes to opening times, means pizza lovers can now satisfy pizza cravings later at night and earlier in the morning!

It’s also a new option for franchise partners looking to fuel further growth by unlocking access to a flexible Uber-fulfilled delivery network for orders placed on Domino’s own channels including phone, website and app orders. In addition to being able to meet late night and early morning demand, this also helps restaurants maximize conversion during periods of spikes in demand, such as during major sporting events.

While DPE operates one of the largest delivery fleets in the country – employing more than 25,000 team members across Australia and New Zealand who safely make, bake and take piping hot pizzas – pizza lovers want more. A successful Australian trial across 20 store locations showed that while Domino's own Delivery Experts were able to meet existing demand – from both their own channels and Uber Eats – tapping into Uber’s network of delivery partners via Uber Direct during times of increased demand and during extended trading hours drove additional incremental revenue.

“As a brand with more than 40 years of delivery experience in Australia, Domino’s has built a reliable and efficient in-house delivery offering, with technology at the core of our customer experience, but we’re always looking for ways to offer our customers more. The link up with Uber’s Direct offering will help us ensure that when people come to our online ordering platforms, they can find a solution that gets our iconic range delivered to them whenever the cravings strike,” said Domino’s ANZ CEO Kerri Hayman.

“We’re pleased to be able to complement Domino's existing fleet of Delivery Experts, by supporting them to offer additional ways to reach their customers at even more times throughout the day,” said General Manager ANZ, Uber Direct, Duncan Petit. “The partnership will help franchise partners trade later and open earlier, especially during important times like major sporting events where they may not otherwise be able to capture all the demand for their game day menu items.”

The existing partnership lists Domino’s in the Uber Eats app in more than 20 Domino’s markets globally, with Domino’s Delivery Experts completing orders placed on the Uber Eats app.

Building on the success of the existing trials with Uber Direct in Australia and New Zealand, successful trials were also held in Taiwan and Japan over the Christmas period in December 2024.
